Life Coaching and Accountability Partnering
Life Coaching:
A coach listens to your hopes and dreams, helps you clarify your thoughts and then together you come up with a plan to reach your important goals. Every week your coach is there for you, offering accountability and encouragement through one-on-one coaching sessions so that you will be successful in completing the activities that matter the most to you.
Talking with a coach can spark new thoughts and actions.
While a counselor listens to your day-to-day problems and gives you ideas on how to solve them, a coach focuses more on a client’s goals, keeps the individual focused on the vision and helps move him to action.
Coaching is an important part of our tutoring service, and we also offer individual coaching sessions to children, youths and adults. Coaching is for everyone who needs a listening ear, an accountability partner and a cheerleader encouraging them forward.
Accountability Partnering:
When children are small, they look to their parents to set their priorities and schedules. As children grow, their parents begin the long process of moving from the role of director in their child’s life to that of a support person. This process can be difficult, especially in the teen years.
Students require assistance setting goals, and once these goals are set, students need someone they trust and respect to hold them accountable to these goals. We provide check lists and long term goal charts for our students so they can visualize their progress, make adjustments and succeed in a way that is beyond what they could do on their own.
Having a tutor motivates students to study because those students know that they will have to give an account of their time and their accomplishments to their tutor, and it makes them work harder and get more done. Students can make greater progress in less time. Students also learn time management tools that not only help them now, but will continue to serve them as they journey on through adulthood.
Parents and young adults sometimes need the same type of assistance. We can help you stay on track with one-on-one planning meetings, weekly phone calls and/or emails, Google Drive spreadsheets and more.
When students, young adults or parents need help setting goals or they are not accomplishing the goals they set for themselves, they need an accountability partner. We can help!
